Remington R1 & Wilson Combat Beavertail Mod

Good afternoon,
I have a Remington R1, and have a Wilson Combat Beavertail that I would like to have installed. I know this requires frame modifications and that Wilson sells the template for the frame mod. Do I need to have the template for The Village Arms to install it for me?
